IJALE is a Melbourne-based producer, vocalist, and engineer who writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters every track he touches. Drawing from his Nigerian heritage and Australian upbringing, his sound blends Afrocentric percussion with hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and electronic textures, always underpinned by sharp storytelling and emotional depth.
His latest project, titled 'minutiae' (May 30, 2025), is his most intricate and introspective to date — a self-contained commentary on the world at large, built on rhythm, texture, and detail. It follows standout singles This Bubble, SO BE IT, and Seaside, each paired with rich visuals that deepen his sonic universe.
Beyond his solo work, IJALE is a sought-after collaborator, producer, and mixing engineer, having worked with some of Australia’s brightest rising stars, including VOLDY, BTV, Beckah Amani, BOY SODA, Maina Doe, OX4ORD, King Ivy, Mali Jo$e, and Dugong Jr. His engineering credits have helped emerging artists shape their sound at the highest level, with his work on VOLDY’s release earning a Music Victoria nomination for Best Hip-Hop Work.
His work within the podcast world earned him an award for Podcast Of The Year at the Australian Podcast Awards (The Private Affairs Podcast), and his work in sonic branding has seen him collaborate with brands like Reebok and Champion.
With acclaimed projects Wildly Disparate Sounds (2020) and OTTN(2021) behind him, and a proven track record of quality, IJALE is carving a lane as one of Australia’s most hands-on and forward-thinking musical creatives.
