The Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild of Australia (MPEG) has today announced the winners of the 2026 MPEG Awards presented by Shure, celebrating outstanding achievement across music production, engineering and studio practice in Australia.
Now in its third year, the MPEG Awards remain the only national awards program dedicated exclusively to producers and engineers – recognising the creative and technical leaders shaping Australian music behind the scenes.
The 2026 ceremony took place on Wednesday, 25 February 2026 at The Darling Rooms Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf, Sydney, hosted by Ron Haryanto, co-founder of Mentor Academy and long-time advocate for Australian producers and engineers.
This year’s honours recognised a standout group of Australian practitioners and studios, with Alice Ivy named Producer of the Year, and Ninajirachi taking home two awards – Breakthrough Producer of the Year and Self-Producing Artist of the Year.
Anna Laverty, Chair and Founding Director of MPEG, said: “These winners represent the very best of Australian music production and engineering right now – work that’s technically brilliant, creatively fearless, and deeply considered. To be recognised by your peers is a huge achievement, and we’re proud to celebrate every recipient.”
As previously announced, the 2026 MPEG Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Mike Chapman OAM, recognising one of Australia’s most influential global music figures – a songwriter and producer whose work has shaped popular music across more than five decades.
Established in 2022, MPEG exists to advocate for, recognise and elevate Australia’s producers and engineers, representing their commercial interests and strengthening the professional community through engagement and visibility.
The 2026 MPEG Awards are proudly supported by: Shure/Jands, Neumann.Berlin, AVP Imports, Avid, PPCA, Music Australia, Considered Commercial and Entertainment Law, Yamaha, Marsh, and APRA AMCOS.
