Here you will find all of the information you need to enter the inaugural Music Producer and Engineers’ Guild Awards 2024.
ENTRIES CLOSE THIS SUNDAY 3RD DECEMBER AT MIDNIGHT!
The MPEG Awards will celebrate excellence in music production and sound engineering in Australia. Most of the awards will celebrate the works released 1st Sept 22 - 31st August 23.
For awards with multiple winners (Studio of the Year, Outstanding Community Work) you will need to identify all potential winners.
Nominees can be nominated by anyone and we encourage members to nominate colleagues and themselves.
The Lifetime Achievement award will celebrate one of our most successful industry icons. This award is designed to recognise someone who has made a significant contribution to music production and / or sound engineering over a long career (25+ years).

The Producer of the Year award will celebrate the body of work of one producer who has had an exceptional output of releases in the judging period.
The body of works mentioned must have been released between 1st Sept 22 and 31st August 23.

The Recording Engineer of the Year award will celebrate the body of work of one sound engineer who has had an exceptional output of releases in the judging period.
The releases mentioned must have been released between 1st Sept 22 and 31st August 23.

The Mix Engineer of the Year award will celebrate the body of work of one mixer who has had an exceptional output of releases in the judging period.
The body of works mentioned must have been released between 1st Sept 22 and 31st August 23.

The Breakthrough Producer Award will celebrate a producer at the start of their career who has made a significant impact in the judging period.

The Writer Producer of the Year award will celebrate someone who not only produces music but contributes to the songwriting of the works.

The Self Producing Artist of the Year award will celebrate an artist who also has the musical production and technical skills to have created their own musical works.

The Mastering Engineer of the Year Award celebrates someone who has had an outstanding year of mastering releases within the judging period.

This award will recognise a studio with an outstanding body of work within a facility that has good working conditions and a positive culture.
You may include / upload:

This award is to celebrate the work of an individual or group who has completed a musical production based project to contribute to their community in the timeframe.
Examples of work could include but are not limited to: building a community recording studio, producing a compilation album with a focus on community, teaching marginalised / under-represented people production and recording skills etc

The closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 3rd December 2023. Late entries can not be accepted.
